Mustang Shelby GT500
A few years back a friend hooked me up with this gig to take pictures of a wheel company’s customer cars whenever they met up annually for Fabulous Fords Forever at Knott’s Berry Farm. Although this was fun, it didn’t allow me to flex the ability to shoot a car at a location that made sense. One day we decided to shoot his GT500, and I found a location that had a decent view of the downtown LA skyline as a backdrop through my mad Google maps triangulation skillz.
For these shots, since I didn’t have a big enough diffuser to properly light a car, I used a combination exposure technique to light the car bit by bit and put it all together. The second shot was a composite of the car sitting still as well. I would tell you how the motion was generated but I don’t want to go to jail 😛
